THE 1776 EDITION - Your First Chapter - Five Hand-Embroidered Wishes for a New Generation

THE ARTISANS OF THOUSANDS COLORS
Since 1993, Thousands Colors has preserved Peruvian textile craftsmanship through three decades of dedicated production in knitted textiles and hand embroidery.
Each embroidery in this collection is created by a single artisan: a pair of hands, a needle, and premium thread.
The process is slow. Deliberate. Intentional. Every stitch is a decision. Every decision is an act of care:
A tree with a lantern — more than 400 stitches
A constellation of 13 stars — more than 320 stitches
A quill — more than 380 stitches
An eagle — more than 260 stitches
A bell — more than 400 stitches
This is not mass production. This is not decoration. This is a wish, transformed into thread, destined to outlive its first owner.
When you hold this blanket, you hold the work of human hands — the same hands that have been stitching Peru's textile heritage for over 30 years, now stitching the future you wish for your child.
The Power of the MyPE Network
Empowering Women: Over 70% of our master linkers and finishers are women, many of whom are heads of household. By providing consistent, fair-wage work, we help stabilize families and provide paths for professional growth within the textile arts.
Preserving the Craft: In a world of fast fashion, hand-linking and manual embroidery are dying arts. We invest in training and equipment for our collective, ensuring these specialized skills are passed down to the next generation of Peruvian artisans.
We don’t operate as a faceless factory. We work through a curated collective of MyPEs (Micro and Small Enterprises).

Transparent Excellence: From Piura to the World
Chemical-Free Sourcing: We prioritize fibers that respect the land and the health of the farmers.
Fair Trade Principles: Every partner in our supply chain is paid a premium that reflects the extraordinary quality of their output.
Local Pride: By keeping 100% of our production in Peru, we ensure that the economic value of our "Seda del Desierto" (Desert Silk) stays within the communities that have cultivated it for thousands of years.
Conscious Luxury
When you see the Thousands Colors seal on a Squiggles by Charlie piece, you are supporting a model of Humanist Capitalism. It is a choice to favor slow, intentional production over mass-market exploitation.
We don't just knit blankets; we knit a safety net for our community of artisans.

Our impact starts in the northern fields of Piura, where the Pima cotton is harvested.

The Collective:
Engineering Human Flourishing
Beyond Manufacturing
At Thousands Colors, we believe that true luxury is only possible when the hands that create are as valued as the hands that receive. Based in Lima, Peru, our atelier serves as a bridge between ancestral textile wisdom and contemporary global standards.
