THE 1776 EDITION - Your First Chapter - Five Hand-Embroidered Wishes for a New Generation

Our Story: Where Love Becomes Design

A Heritage of Threads and Purpose

Our story doesn’t begin with a garment, but with a conviction: that the simplest objects can hold the greatest stories. Tousands Colors is born from a textile tradition dating back to 1993, evolving through decades of perfecting high-end manufacturing for the world’s most demanding markets, from Japan to Italy.

Today, we are established in Lima, Peru, as experts in heritage textiles. We don’t just manufacture; we preserve the value of craftsmanship against industrial mass production under the concept of "Slow Luxury"

The Alliance:
Squiggles by Charlie x Thousands Color

In 2019, our paths crossed with Squiggles by Charlie. From this collaboration emerged a shared vision: to transform the intimate connection of parents into "priceless treasures".

While Squiggles by Charlie provides the magical narrative and emotional design, Thousands Colors brings that vision to life through radical customization and exquisite artisanal techniques. Together, we create pieces with soul that capture the magic of childhood and transform them into family legacies.

Our Raw Material:
The Silk of the Desert

We believe every embrace deserves the purity of the organic. That is why we work exclusively with Mercerized Peruvian Pima Cotton, grown in the fields of Piura.

With fibers 50% longer than conventional cotton, this fiber—known as the "silk of the desert"—guarantees superior durability and a softness that, far from fading, improves with every year and every wash. We strictly reject synthetic blends; our promise is absolute breathability for the most vulnerable skin.

The Luxury of Conscience

Your First Chapter

Behind every one of our blankets is a network of expert hands. Our business model is based on strengthening local artisans and small businesses in Peru, providing them the platform to compete on the global stage under Fair Trade conditions.

By choosing a Thousands Colors piece, you are not just acquiring a "haute couture" item for children; you are validating an ecosystem of human empowerment and preserving ancestral hand-embroidery techniques.

We don't sell mere products; we create the first tactile canvas where your child will discover the world. During this crucial stage of growth, we become the guardians of innocence and the protectors of their story..

As custodians of this legacy, we invite you to write the first chapter of a story designed to last generations. Because, much like a fine timepiece or a family heirloom, you never truly own a Thousands Colors piece; you merely look after it for the next generation.

OUR STORY

In 1993, in Lima, Peru, a small atelier began doing one thing.

Making textiles by hand.

No shortcuts. No machines for the details that matter. Just skilled hands, natural fibers, and the kind of patience that industrial production cannot replicate.

Three decades later, nothing essential has changed.

Thousands Colors was built on a simple conviction: that the objects surrounding the beginning of a life should be made with the same care that life deserves. That Peruvian Pima cotton — one of the finest natural fibers in the world, cultivated in the northern valleys of Peru for over 5,000 years — is worth the time it takes to work with properly. That a hand-embroidered stitch, placed deliberately by a single artisan, carries something a printed pattern never will.

Over thirty years, we have preserved that tradition.

Not as nostalgia. As a standard.

Every piece that leaves our atelier in Lima is the work of one pair of hands. One needle. One continuous thread of silk or premium cotton. The process is slow by design — because the alternative is something else entirely, and we are not interested in the alternative.

We are Thousands Colors.

And we have been making wishes into thread since 1993.
